Romans 8:1-11. Humanity in the first century was in a mess. We see this in the Letter to the Romans. Being totally transparent, Paul journaled, “Who will deliver me from this body of death?” That is a great question for humanity in the twenty-first century. Who will save us? As Paul wrote, we can confidently testify, “Thanks be to God…Jesus Christ our Lord!” That is why the apostle declared, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” As a believer, we are new in Christ, but we still struggle in the physical body to do what is right. However, Jesus does not condemn us. He does not punish our struggle, but encourages us to keep on going. He provides his power and presence while we fight the good fight. Since believers are “in Christ” all things are possible. All things are new. There is no condemnation.
